Tell us about your family!
I'm an Oklahoma girl that's married to my best friend. I'm a mama of 3 beautiful kiddos. (One of them came to us via the blessing of adoption.)  I'm a former early childhood teacher turned stay-at-home-mom.  I founded Magnolia Lane Boutique shortly after deciding to leave the classroom.

How long have you been using Young Living, and why did you get started? What rank are you now?
Becoming a mom changed EVERYTHING for me.  My girls were always sick and I was really tired of making trips to the doctor where we didn't get long term help.  My youngest daughter was over 1 and had NEVER slept through the night.
My friend asked if I had tried oils and I reluctantly got my Starter Kit in early 2016.  I started REALLY diving into oils the following year and never looked back. These oils have changed our lives.
I'm currently at the rank of Silver and I'm shooting for Gold in 2019!

Where do you store your oils?
I have a main oil shelf in our living room.  (I've added a shelff to it since I took this picture) and I have little oily stations all over our house.  My skin oils are in the bathroom. Sleepy oils are by beds. Vitality oils are in the kitchen ready to be added to water. Kiddo oils are in their bathroom.
Keep them where you'll see them every day. You want them to be your first line of offense instead of just your defense.

What YL product could you NEVER live without?  And what is one that just makes you really darn happy?
I NEED my Harmony oil.  I had it on my "wishlist" for over 7 months before I grabbed it in my Essential Rewards box.  I call it my 'peace in a bottle.' I apply it on my wrists, on my kiddos, and I diffuse it with Lime every morning to start my day out right.

To someone who is just starting out on their wellness journey with YL, what advice do you have for them?:
1- USE YOUR KIT! Get it out minute 1 and open every single bottle. Take your kit items out of the package and never put them back in.
2- Get into learning groups like Magnolia Lane Essentials. You need (and deserve) resources. Go to the free online classes. Go to the in person meetups and get around people that are like-minded! Have fun while you learn!
3- Sign up for Essential Rewards. Make a plan with your upline and map out some things you want to target first.  They'll help you find the best products to try.  You'll get points back for FREEBIES *and* you could get monthly promo freebies.
Total no brainer.

If you could go back and talk to your pre-oils self, what would you say?
You don't have to keep doing things this way. There's help out there. You'll actually sleep again.  And believe it or not, you'll average 1 trip every 2 years to the doctor you visit monthly with your kids right now. They'll ask you "why you never come in anymore" at your Well Check visits.

How much emphasis do you put on yourself to continue to learn and grow?
It's super important. We can never learn it all! The more I know, the better resource I can be for myself and the people I care about.

The second we start thinking we know it all, is the second we are a fool.
I never want to be content with the amount that I know.

You're leading a team and running a rockin' biz.. Did you see this coming? What has surprised you the most?

I neeeeeever wanted to build an YL business.  The part that has surprised me the most is how naturally I fell into it.  I wanted to share my experience and it ended up building a team... I still just share my experience with my oils and here we are -  now being financially blessed by them!

The financial freedom has knocked me off my feet. I'm only at the rank of Executive and had my Essential Rewards box orders paid for each month, was paying toward our adoption fees, had money to do fun things for my oily team, and could take trips like the one below on a whim.

The time freedom has been a blessing. I get to work in 5 minute increments while I stay home with my kids, homeschool, and run my boutique business.

What have you always found to be easy within your business?
Loving my Young Living products.  I truly truly LOVE them and that's the easiest part!

What have you always found to be hard within your business?
I'm an introvert so I've had to learn my boundaries.  When its time to "people," I people. (:  When it's time for a breather, I set that boundary and recharge.

Playing catch up with trip pictures. 😌

To someone who is inspired and is maybe interested in checking out the business side of Young Living, what advice would you give them?
DO. IT.  You literally have nothing to lose. We have a freaking BLAST sharing how to use oils with people that have never touched an oil in their lives. They're tired. unhealthy. desperate. in need. And they are waiting on YOU to help them.  I am so thankful someone told me about Young Living oils when I was an exhausted, depressed, lost mama.. I can't imagine missing out on this blessing if they hadn't decided to share with us.

People need you! Go help them!!

When you have time for yourself, what could we find you doing?

It doesn't happen enough. That's honestly something I'm really working on.  You can't pour from an empty cup.

-Reading a good book.
-Taking a bath / soaking in my oils.
-Laying by the pool.
Gardening or playing around with my succulents.
-Wandering the aisles of Target.
-Crafting.
-Listening to podcasts and crossline leader zoom calls - working on self development.
